The Cincinnati Bengals today signed former Missouri and Raymore-Peculiar tight end Chase Coffman to the active roster from the practice squad.

Coffman, a third-round draft pick from Missouri by the Bengals in 2009, played in all five preseason games, with two receptions for 32 yards. He was waived Sept. 4 and signed Sept. 5 to the practice squad. He was on the roster for 12 games as a rookie but was inactive each week, and he finished 2009 on the Reserve/Injured list.

To make room for Coffman, the Bengals waived veteran tight end J.P. Foschi.
