Cincinnati Bengals (-5) Favored Over Buffalo Bills In Week 11 Match Up

No longer are there any win-less team in the NFL as the Buffalo Bills notched their first victory this past weekend in a 14-12 victory over the Detroit Lions.  It had to happen eventually, as the Bills has lost their past three games by a field goal, two of which came in heartbreaking fashion in overtime.  Now, head coach Chan Gailey and company will try to build off the momentum built off of the first win.
“Relief!” remarked Buffalo cornerback Leodis McKelvin after the game. “We won. We’re not going to be talking about being an 0-16 team or nothing like that. It feels great to get a win and get that off our chests.”
Buffalo (1-8) faces Cincinnati (2-7) this in Week 11 of the NFL Season, with the Bengals on the heels of a six-game losing streak, the latest of which was a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bengals’ wide receiver Chad Ochocinco believes that the chemistry of the team is not quite right with the team, and is something that needs to be addressed throughout the course of the rest of the season.
“Everybody needs to be on the same page, like an old married couple,” Ochocinco remarked. “Like a man being able to say a sentence and your wife being able to finish it off. The more we’re on the same page, the easier it is.”
Looking ahead at this one for the Bills on offense, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been solid for the unit.  Fitzpatrick has kept his team in just about every game this season, lacking only play-making in the second half late in games that only a play here or there could have changed the outcome.  Running back Fred Jackson came on against Detroit, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring two touchdowns on the afternoon.  He is a key element to the offense, providing much-needed balance, and the ability to make a play at any time in the game.
Defensively for the Bengals, slowing down Jackson will be important, as he is coming off one of the biggest performances of his season.  Trying to get Fitzpatrick to make mistakes will also be a critical factor, as the Bills quarterback has proven that he is plenty capable of protecting the ball.
On offense for the Bengals, Ochocino summed up the season to-date for Cincinnati.  They all need to get on the same page.  That nearly mounted a 20-point comeback last Monday night against Pittsburgh, but played very poorly in the first half.  It’s been a tale of two halves for the Bengals all season, as putting together a complete offensive game has been lacking.
Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer has shown that he is prone to turning the ball over, as evidence by the three interceptions that he threw against the Steelers.  Look for Buffalo to try and disguise coverages or mount pressure to force Palmer into low-percentage throws.
