Continuing a feature here at Bengals Chatter, Live Blogging. This essentially means we will be watching the game and updating the blog not play by play (though close to it), but basically recapping.

Week 15 Bengals @ 49ers

49ers 20-13 @ Final

Final Thoughts

The full breakdown will be up, possibly not until Tuesday and the Podcast will be delayed until Wednesday.

The Bengals slide to 5-9, losing 20-13 to a now 4-10 49ers team. The first losing season with Marvin Lewis.

Palmer and Chad Johnson not in sync at all, couldn't stop the run defensively, let Shaun Hill throw all over the place, the list goes on.

Definitely a bad game. A tough one next week against the Browns.

4th Quarter

@ 2:05 - Game right here...ok, 3rd down and 9 for the 49ers with a false start. lol, they run it for a 1st down. Game, Bengals lose 20-13.

@ 2:14 - Seriously, can Gumbel get worse? He calls the TD and then "oh...wait...incomplete, no touchdown". Unbelievable. Bad challenge by Marvin IMO, lose a timeout when they need all 3. Cincy loses challenge, bad call to challenge that.

@ 3:35 - Incomplete, 4th down. Punt? No, they're going for it, good. Pass completed to TJ, to the 30. Bad pass by Palmer, CJ and Palmer not in sync whatsoever, 4th down, game right here. Incomplete, game right there.

@ 6:15 - I do NOT like that call by the 49ers, take the 3 points and go up 10 with 6 to go. Instead, the Bengals have it only down a TD. Patrick Willis everyone, huge hit.

@ 9:43 - Wow, Hill RUNS for a 1st down, big 3rd down conversion. heh, "Al Gore", mistake #559 by Gumbel tonight. 49ers running the clock well. Bengals D put on pressure, 49ers are...going for it? Incomplete.

@ 12:03 - Overthrown CJ, 4th down, ugh. Shayne Graham makes it 20-13. Now if the Defense can step up... :)
@ 15:00 - Nice completion, 2nd catch by CJ, just into 49ers territory. Wow, a great catch by CJ, nearly an INT but pulls it in and runs to the 19.

3rd Quarter

@ :49 - Took Gumbel a minute there to realize that it was not big tight end Reggie Kelly and was instead thin Chatman. :p End of 3rd.

@ 3:06 - Frank Gore just bowling over the Bengals D. 15 yard penalty on Dexter Jackson *sighs*. Sack by Geathers, 49ers make it 20-10.
@ 6:30 - 49ers get a FG to make it 17-10, driving again. Ouch, big hit by Joseph.

Half Time Thoughts

+ Last drive did well running and passing...

- Though we had to punt quite a bit.

- Gore running well, Hill throwing VERY well.

Overall not horrible, but Shaun Hill is just owning the Bengals D and the Bengals offense has not overall done well. Hopefully the Bengals pull out a win.

2nd Quarter

@ :09 - TD pass, 14-10 49ers. Bengals defense looking ugly. Half time.

@ 4:53 - BIG long pass to Chris Henry, Touchdown! 3rd down for the 49ers, converted again. Hall getting burned badly. 2 minute warning.

@ 8:19 - Big return to the 41. Good tip by Hall, 4th down for the 49ers, 3 and out. Bengals start at the 17, Marvin White getting heated up. 3rd and 2, TJ for the 1st down.

@ 10:27 - TJ complete, to the 8. Kelly drops it, 3rd and goal. Wow, nearly an INT, bad pass. (3 guys there) Graham makes it 7-3.

@ 12:50 - A quick 3rd down for the Bengals, deon and faulk have some good points about the predictability of the Offense. Big completion to Watson, to the 48. Nice pass & catch to Coats inside 49ers territory, LB not paying attention.

@ 15:00 - 49ers inside the redzone, not looking good, DB's getting beat every time. lol, Hill touchdown.

1st Quarter

@ 2:59 - Almost an INT by Jonathon Joseph. Another 3rd down conversion for the 49ers. *sighs* Another inside route completed, 7/8. A near sack, 1 yard lost, end of 1st.

@ 6:14 - Somehow Palmer runs for 1 yard, nearly sacked, but have to punt. Sweet, missed tackles on the punt return. Several passes in a row by Hill, 49ers driving.

@ 8:37 - 3rd and 9, complete but stopped short, Bengals ball. 3rd and 4 for Cincy, almost an INT, but illegal contact on the defense, Nice :) Another deep pass, incomplete.

@ 12:02 - Man, CJ wise open deep, overthrown. 3rd and 7, Henry drops it, time to punt. Wow, Geathers leads Cincy with 2 1/2 sacks? Didn't know it was that bad. 3rd and 4 for the 49ers near mid-field, catch a break thanks to an offensive penalty.

@ 15:00 - Bengals start at the 20. Hurry Up offense, yes! Good to see it. A few runs and passes, 3rd and 3 from the 42, complete to Chad Johnson for a 1st down.
