Rams Game - Recap - Bengals Chatter
Rams Game - Recap
Posted by: charliepage at Dec 10, 2007 - 8:27 pm

The Bengals picked up just their 5th win in 13 games (another words, 5-8) and their best hope is to finish .500.

The Rams-Bengals game certainly wasn't a "great game" by the Bengals, but was "good". Carson Palmer had a bad first half and did have 2 INT's, but really after that, especially in the 3rd quarter, looked a lot better. He ended up 21/29 and lead one drive in particular in the 3rd, although it ended up as a Field Goal, Palmer was throwing it well, hopefully he can get even better for the 49ers.

Rudi looked okay in the 1st half and looked like the old rudi, frankly, in the 4th quarter. Stringing together big runs, doing his spin move, stiff arming players, very good to see. Dorsey also looked great, 81 yards on 4 carries, 36 on 3 carries.

The bad things still were there for the game. Carson did still have some problems and they still had problems getting a TD after getting inside the 30. There were 5 turnovers by the Rams, 2 recovered and only a combined 3 points on those.

Although he was not "lights out", first-starter Berlin did go 17/28 for 153 yards and 1 INT and as well, Stephen Jackson had 91 yards, though the Bengals run-defense did a better job later on.

Overall a good game, some positives and negatives. The defense getting good pressure on the newbie (so to say) was a nice sight to see as well.

Week 15 kicks off with the Bengals at San Fransisco, 8:15 PM EST on Thursday, NFL Network.
