Week 16 Browns @ Bengals - Recap

What a win and disappointing game by the Bengals! They pulled out a win 19-14, stopping Cleveland with 1 second to go and 29 yards away from beating us.

So what happened today? It was a close, 6-0 game with a few minutes left until half-time when Derrick Anderson throws a bad INT, shortly after a TD for the Bengals. Browns next offensive play, another bad INT, a TD for the Bengals shortly after that half-time, 19-0 at half-time. Remember that, I will bold it, Bengals 19-0 at half-time.

The game isn't over, but if your defense can do decently, offense maybe even get a TD or a few FG's, you have the game. But I guess that would be too easy. Instead the Bengals preceded to throw the ball instead of run with Watson, who had over 90 yards at half-time.

Carson was bad all game, he had a few passes but he is on some funk and I don't know why or how he can get out of it. Week after week, Palmer and CJ have been TOTALLY out of sync and it continued this game. The offense had 1 first down in the 2nd half, up to their last drive where they fumbled it inside the 30, a FG would of made it an 8 point game with a few minutes to go.

Continued...

It's been the case nearly the whole season. Marvin Lewis and the other coaches have been unable to get this team together. Today, the defense did good ("okay" in the 2nd half) and the offense did bad. When one aspect of the team does good, 1 or more parts will all of a sudden be unable to do anything.

I was going to Call for Marvin Lewis to be fired if the Bengals lost today, if they had lost after being up 19-0 at half-time and lost against the (will be) 1-14 Dolphins, of course they somehow won instead. But it doesn't change the fact the coaching needs an overhaul and Marvin Lewis needs to step up, because he hasn't.

Hopefully the Bengals can shake off this near-loss and win out against the Dolphins, save some face.
