Patriots go for perfection (Pats win 38-35)

Hopefully you have your TV tuned onto NFL Network, CBS or NBC and watching a huge, hopefully good game, Patriots @ Giants. Of course the Patriots win, they are a perfect 16-0, the Giants win and they pull out a huge upset against what I refer to the "team America hates" (the patriots).

I'm sure Patriots and Giants fans alike, as well as all others, hope for at least a good game. We won't be live blogging, but jotting down notes and such, however if it is close late in the 4th, we'll be updating this post often.

Week 17 Patriots @ Giants

Patriots 38-35 @ Final

Final Thoughts

As I said in the beginning of the post, I was really hoping for a good game and we got it. Not only was it a very enjoyable game and very close for the first 3 quarters, but we saw history and broken records.

Just a great game and really is a treat to watch the Patriots play. Unfortunately there is this pure hate against them, jealously, I don't know, but it will get bad in the coming days.

The Patriots beat the Giants 38-35 with Tom Brady getting his 50th TD Pass, breaking the record, the Patriots also had the most points in a season (by 37), Randy Moss caught his 23rd TD Catch for their 3rd record and lastly, for their 4th record, they went 16-0. Congratulations!

Continue...

4th Quarter

@ 1:04 - Giants finally score, 38-35, onside kick. Patriots recover, they win, 16-0.

@ 1:16 - Giants doing HORRIBLE time management, a good 30 seconds wasted. Giants have it at the 4, 1:16 to go.

@ 4:36 - Well at least it was close for a while, 38-28 Patriots.

@ 7:59 - Bad, bad, bad. Eli Manning INT, Patriots now have it within the 25, ugh.

@ 11:06 - Crazy 2 plays. Moss WIDE open and drops it, next play TD pass to Moss, 31-28 Patriots. At least the Giants made it close.

@ 11:29 - Big blown drive by the Giants, Patriots can takeover the game.

@ 15:00 - Back and fourth, Giants have to punt and a BIG drive for the Patriots.

3rd Quarter

@ 4:00 - Patriots drove well, Giants also getting a LOT of penetration. Pats run it in, 28-23 Giants.

@ 9:12 - Big drive by the Giants, good runs by Jacobs. 3rd and 7, TD pass, 28-16 Giants!

2nd Quarter

@ :13 - Big drive by the Giants. Patriots get lucky, Wilfork pokes his finger to Jacobs eye, Giants get a TD to the backup Tightend. 21-16, Giants lead it at half-time.

@ 2:00 - Patriots drive, stopped on 3rd down, 16-14 Patriots.

@ 9:59 - Pats put together a good drive, 14-13. Seeing Brady in the 2000 Columbine running the 40 yard dash, funny stuff.

@ 14:55 - TD pass to Moss. Most points in a season (patriots), tied for most receiving TD's (moss). Kickoff returned 74 yards, TD Giants!

1st Quarter

@ :17 - Moss down, Patriots about to score. Moss seems to be fine, end of 1st.

@ 5:14 - Patriots drive, get a big 4th down and kick a FG, 7-3 G-Men. Nice, a commercial supporting the NFL Network and knocking cable.

@ 11:10 - Bad challenge by Coughlin, but next play a first down. Play after that, pass to Jacobs, TD Giants!

@ 15:00 - Giants start fast, throw deep to Burress.
