Now for more mixed news, the Bengals have signed Domata Peko to a 5 year extension. Yeah he's a good player but here's the bad part, the 5 year extension is worth a surprising $29.3 million. The 5-year extension means Peko is signed through 2014, hopefully he is able to live up to that bloated contract. In two years in the NFL (32 games), he's achieved 95 tackles and a grand total of 4 sacks.
"Domata is a fine, young player who has fully proved his worth over the last two years and still has a tremendous upside, "Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said in a statement. "We are extremely pleased to have him signed to a long-term deal that ensures his future with our team. He has the ability to give us strong support against the run and good pass pressure up the middle."
